The top 10 performing lots of 2016
The 2015 AfrAsia Bank Cape Wine Auction raised an amazing R17 million for education in the Cape Winelands. Below were the top 10 performing auctions lots.
The Touch Warwick Debut Lot – R1 300 000
The first ever bottle of Touch Warwick Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 presented in a designer velvet lined wooden box, signed and presented personally to the winning bidder. A luxury winelands golf tour for ten people, including accommodation, accompanied by Mike & Touch.
The Port2Fino Lot – R1 250 000
One week for eight guests at Villa Montefino in Portofino Italy. Including a private chef and staff, poolside Italian wine Sommelier course, boat trips to San Fruttuoso and picturesque Cinque Terre villages.
The Lionel Smit Lot – R675 000
A wine, food and art experience at Lionel Smit’s studio for twelve guests, catered by Chef Chris Erasmus. Bespoke Lionel Smit original painting. Accommodation at Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa for twelve people, including VIP tranfers.
The Godfather Lot – R550 000
An amazing five nights stay for four couples at the 18th century Chateau De Vezins in France. A planning dinner at Paul Cluver Wines prepared by South Africa’s top Chef Luke Dale Roberts. The dinner will be paired with Paul Cluver Seven Flags & Domaine Jacques Prieur.
The Seven South African Icons at Ellerman House Lot – R450 000
An incredible collection of 70 bottles of wine, 10 unique bottles from each winery ranging from 1986 – 2012.
