The sensational Silo Hotel towers above the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and is surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa’s Mother City. Experience two magical nights at this incredible five-star premium hotel and marvel at the scenic beauty of this majestic city, recently voted the best city in the world for the seventh consecutive year. Discover its exquisite landmarks from above during a private helicopter tour, compliments of NAC Helicopters while pristine views of the Atlantic Ocean unfold beneath you.

To round off this already opulent lot, De Toren Private Cellar offers you and your partner the opportunity to not only enjoy De Toren’s acclaimed wines throughout your stay, but to also meet the Cellar Master at your venue of choice for a private vintage tasting of the estate’s top wines. Furthermore the boutique winery’s grandiose Bordeaux styled blend, Book XVII, hailed the most luxurious wine ever crafted in South Africa, is on offer. To celebrate the pinnacle of years of winemaking, De Toren is releasing the first-ever Book XVII three litre from its upcoming vintage release, along with six magnificent bottles of Book XVII 2018 vintage.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Royal Portfolio offering for two guests sharing includes & excludes the following:
This lot is not redeemable for cash and/or vouchers and is non-transferrable.
The order & arrangement of the trip are by no means predetermined and guests are able to plan the trip as desired, i.e. as one or as separate trips or in the sequence they wish to conduct it.
Guests may extend the duration of the stay(s) or extend the invite to more guests to join in this experience. Such additions or extensions will be for the expense of the client(s).
This letter expires 1 year from the date of 16 February 2020 and validity can unfortunately not be extended under any circumstances.
All bookings/ reservations for this trip are subject to availability at each of these hotels & lodges.
Travel & stay with The Royal Portfolio during high season (15 December 2020 – 15 February 2021), South African school holidays, SA public holidays and SA long weekends are unfortunately restricted due to availability.
All flights, transport and airport taxes are for the client’s own expense, unless specifically stated otherwise.
The Silo Hotel & La Residence’s visit includes breakfast daily and complimentary access/ use of the minibar. The full-board basis stay with The Royal Malewane includes all meals, drinks, bush walks and game drives.
All bookings to be made via the Central Reservations team of The Royal Portfolio. The necessary contact details to be provided to the lot owners as soon as possible following The 2020 Cape Wine Auction.
The private NAC Helicopter tour is limited to two guests and is subject to the following conditions:
The availability of NAC Helicopter tours & it is thus recommended for this booking to be made upfront via The Royal Portfolio concierge.
The scenic tour is for a duration of 12 minutes departing from the V&A Waterfront for Sea Point – Clifton – Camps Bay – V&A Waterfront.
The private helicopter tour is limited to two guests, however guests are welcome to extend the size of the group or the duration of the tour, but these additions or amendments will be for the client’s own expense.
The De Toren wines and experience are subject to the following terms:
The De Toren Vintage Wine Tasting is subject to availability at the time of enquiry, but alternative dates or arrangements will be made in this regard. Booking or enquiry to be made directly with De Toren Private Cellar.
This De Toren Vintage Wine tasting is limited to the Cape Town and Franschhoek visit, i.e. a venue in and around The Silo Hotel or La Residence for logistical planning.
Guests are also welcome to visit the estate for a private tour and the tasting if this is preferable.
The invitation to additional guests (up to 6 guests in total) for the private tasting is welcomed.
The wines enjoyed during the stay with The Royal portfolio is limited to 6 days and the selection of wines is for the discretion of De Toren.
Shipment cost of wines outside the borders of South Africa is excluded from the lot offering.

    • The Silo Hotel, La Residence & Royal Malewane: Spend two incredible nights at each of these iconic hotels & lodges. The Silo Hotel & La Residence’s offering is inclusive of breakfast daily and a transfer between the two hotels. The magnificent Royal Malewane safari experience is on a full board basis, inclusive of all a luxury suite accommodation, all meals, drinks, bush walks & game drives.
    • Private NAC Helicopter Tour: Enjoy a private, scenic helicopter tour for two and be awed by Cape Town’s spectacular beauty.
    • Complimentary Wines: Enjoy the De Toren wines throughout your stay with The Royal Portfolio.
    • De Toren’s Cellar Master Vintage Wine Tasting: An exclusive tasting hosted at the venue of choice by Cellar Master, Charles Williams.
    • Book XVII 2018 Vintage 3L & 750ml Case: The first-ever three litre (3L) produced of one of South Africa’s most luxurious wines, accompanied by six hand-numbered 750ml bottles of Book XVII, each one presented in its iconic case with a special key for safekeeping of this collector’s item.
