The second oldest family owned wine estate in South Africa, Deetlefs is steeped in seven generations of history since 1822. Situated at the foot of the Du Toitskloof Mountains in the Breedekloof Valley, the land has firmly become a part of the estate, vineyards and wine.

As seventh generation owner and managing director, Kobus Deetlefs has continued to carry on the family traditions and bold individual approach of winemaking, instilling a culture of consistency and strength in everything they do. Sustainable growth and well structured, clear guidelines and policies are vital to the estate and are reflected from grape to bottle.


Founder and chef, Denise Levy’s kitchen has always been the heart of the home, a place where friends and family gather together and bond over the preparation and eating of fabulous food, and this is what the GINGER & LIME concept is.

Denise offers the lucky bidder a private interactive cooking lessons for eight people at the Ginger & Lime Food Studio in Cape Town, opening her kitchen to others who are also passionate about food and who enjoy the experience of cooking together. Their interactive cooking sessions follow a free-style approach; you can choose to get stuck into preparing a variety of tasty dishes from scratch, gather around the kitchen island and watch how the team prepares dishes or sit back with a glass of wine and a chat with the other guests; the choice is yours.
