Lot 1
A hungry child cannot learn. R50 000 provides 17 500 freshly prepared, nutritionally fortified meals by the Lunchbox Fund to 88 at-risk and vulnerable school learners every day for a year.
Lot 2
Supporting the Masakhane Community Farm managed by the Grootbos Foundation. This community farm addresses food security and healthy nutrition in the greater Gansbaai community by serving as an agricultural support hub. Each trainee receives a personal allotment site which they use to grow fresh produce for their own consumption, or to sell for their own profit.
Lot 3
Sports’ equipment for the Hope Through Action sports centres in Mbekweni, Franschhoek and Malmesbury. These centres provide football, futsal, netball, cricket, rugby, handball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, weightlifting and golf to engage 1 800 young people a year. Sport teaches them about teamwork and problem solving, and also provides a pathway for talented youth to develop their sports skills and realise their athletic potential.
Funding playground equipment for the Early Learning Programme at the Kusasa Project in Franschhoek. Approximately 130 children in six Grades – 0, R, 1, 2, 3 and 4 make use of the playground on a daily basis, offering them a space to play and dream.
Lot 5
Contribute to the Special Needs Programme run by Pebbles Project which provides stimulation programmes, therapeutic support and intervention to children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.
