Updates from our beneficiaries - The Cape Wine Auction

As planning commences for possibly the most anticipated auction event on the social calendar, it is my pleasure to share with you what has transpired since the last auction in February 2016.

As Trust Facilitator my primary responsibility is to ensure that every Rand raised at the auction ends up in the hands of beneficiaries creating genuine change and opportunity. These beneficiaries are subjected to a stringent screening process as we understand that donor fatigue sets in when funders do not perceive a real return on social investment. This is why the CWA Trust Model is different: 100% of all donations go directly to supporting education in the South African Winelands. Education is viewed holistically, so strategically selected beneficiaries work collaboratively in order to achieve the maximum impact. My job is to diligently monitor needs and impact and in addition act as conduit between beneficiaries.

All of this is overseen by a proficient Board of Trustees. This powerhouse team share their time, experience and intellectual capital to ensure that the trust maintains total transparency and that funding is directed to where it is needed most.

Our vision for the CWA is to become the number one conduit for real change in education in the Cape Winelands. We have passion, energy and think innovatively to effect a real change in the lives of those who live and work in the winelands.

We look forward to sharing these incredible stories of success with you in the months to follow.

Regards
